One done, and at the moment another is spray basted (I just bought the can Friday and it's almost empty), one is completely cut, and two more are partially cut. Good thing I'll get a break because on Wednesday it's the charity quilting day. @_@
This one... I was sure I had more than enough of the pink, plenty of pink, no problem with pink.
The 1.5 inch sashing strips in the rest of the quilt were fine. Except on the very last strip across the top of the quilt I had only enough to go halfway across. So I had to cut it into a .75 inch strip. And of course with quilting it skewed and narrowed. I fished enough of a sliver out of the trash to kind of patch the worst of it so it isn't so glaringly narrow, but if I have even 3 square inches of that fabric left, slivers and all, I'd be surprised.
The purple fabric also had bits too small for even me to save left. There's a 4" fat quarter strip of the blue left. By comparison, I'm swimming in the large block fabrics. There's close to half a fat quarter left of the blue cat print and probably over a yard of the white cat print. It's destined for more quilts.
I'm actually rather pleased with how this turned out. It's more or less the same Arcadia pattern I posted a flannel version of a year and a half ago. If the fabric would quit shifting during quilting I'd be quite happy.
